To export to a text file, just run (from a command line):
matedit export whatever.emm whatever.txt

Obviously, change "whatever.emm" to be your emm file.

Then edit whatever.txt to your heart's content in your favorite text editor. But please, try to stick to the format... I hacked this up pretty quick, so no promises if you stray outside the lines. Each object is separated by a single empty line.

To import your changes, run:
matedit import whatever.txt whatever.emm

It will auto-calculate the offset table for you, so you're free to add/delete material entries as you please.

Extract the .exe in the SFIV.exe folder. Also, extract the bundled Images folder into the same folder.
Run the application.
Click "Init". The program will check if you have backups of the first costume, and if they don't exist, will create them. It will only happen once.
Select a character. In the right side of the screen, it will load the detected costumes, and if available in the Images folder, a screenshot.
Click Apply to replace the regular costume with the custom one.
Click Restore to reset the default costume to the selected character.
The application will 'remember' the current selection (creating a dummy file in the charas folder), so the next time you select a character, it will show you the current costume.
DON'T try to replace costumes during a fight (it will crash the app). You can do it safely in the character select screen (Alt+Tab to go to windows). You can let the program run in the background safely while playing.

The program is just a helper to the whole renaming stuff, it doesn't patch the binaries, neither do hex edits, etc...

Anyone know if the trainer works for Steam? Tried launching through Steam then launching the trainer as an admin and launching the executable through the trainer as admin and keep getting the "Failure determining with 'x' means" error.

Just try the "unlocker" (Kennykilla's Trainer) and it works perfect! It is very useful!

someone please tell me how to change costume 1 into 2 ??
